They are all home....
What a great few weeks! Annie Oakley, Durango, & Grady are now officially adopted now as well, and Brazos is having a trial in a wonderful home. All of the little chicks out of the nest.... Such a great feeling to know that all 10 pups and mama Rosie made it!!!

16 Weeks Old!
Today was Grady's turn to go to his new trial home-- yay Grady! He, Brazos, & Annie Oakley all had their surgeries this week too, so it was a busy week here.
Annie has a bit of a doggy cold, so she is going to stay home from the Meet & Greet tomorrow. But keep your paws crossed for Brazos! He is more of a character every day and full of Heeler charm. Tomorrow he will be the only one of Rosie's pups at the event, so maybe he will really have a chance to shine!

Today's Meet & Greet
It was another busy and wonderful Meet & Greet for our foster pups. Annie Oakley, Brazos, & Grady all got held and enjoyed some playtime with potential adopters. And Grady found a wonderful home!!!!! He will be neutered this week so that he can go begin his trial foster-to-adopt time with them next Saturday. Way to go, Grady!!!

What a week!!!
Wow... what a huge week for the pups:
- Frisco was neutered, microchipped, & rabies vaccinated, and his adoption was finalized!!! YAY Frisco!!! He has such a great home and new family, we are so excited for him.
- CJ was spayed, microchipped, & rabies vaccinated and her family is ready to make it official too!!! Just like Frisco, she has a wonderful Heeler sister to keep her busy and show her the ropes and a very caring family.
- Grady, Durango, Annie Oakley, & Brazos had their first day at Taurus Training's Doggy Playday. They all did really great (check out their report card!), but Durango actually found himself a home while he was there!! One of the Taurus employees fell in love-at-first-sight and he is now in his new foster-to-adopt home.
- They finished their medicine and all seem very healthy & happy.

Puppy of the Day: Brazos!
Brazos is SO darn cute. He is an escape artist at times and a Very Curious Boy, but whatever mischief he finds himself in, it is impossible to feel cross when you look into his impish face. He really enjoys playtime and life in general. Handsome, easy going, and charming, he has a lot going for him!

Puppy of the Day: Grady!
Grady was our foster home's "Puppy of the Day!" on Sunday. He is an easy going and playful pup and really enjoyed the extra attention. He spent some time hanging out and watching TV with us and then spent some time in the office while I worked. He also had some quality time with the cats! He was curious about them and wanted to play, but definitely not much of a chase tendency so far.

Waiting
The pups had a nice Meet & Greet last Sunday but no new apps for adoption this week. So we are all still waiting for their families to find them. They are growing bigger and even more curious. Durango, Annie, & Brazos actually got out of the back yard once this week! They only went as far as the side yard, but it gave us a scare! Brazos & Grady regularly squeeze through the baby gate in the kitchen too-- they just so much wants to see what is going on out there! And to check out those cats in person!! They were especially intrigued by foster brother Jesse James' post-op E-collar and incision, but he isn't quite up to all of that puppy interest just yet!One fun thing at the Meet & Greet was a photo shoot for a photo contest the group was trying to enter. Brazos was one of the pups in the shoot-- too cute!
We are starting a new thing here-- "Puppy of the Day!". That pup gets a little VIP treatment and attention plus some extra training and grooming during their day. And we hope to put a little profile of the Pup of the Day on their blogs. So there should be more photos and updates of both Rosie's pups and the J pups soon!

Meet & Greet tomorrow!
Durango, Annie Oakley, Brazos, & Grady will be at the Meet & Greet tomorrow looking for their Forever Families-- come check them out! (1-4 PM at the Great Hills Trail PETCO)
We posted some new photos in their photo albums- look for more photos in the next few days of their out-of-the-crate meals and working on "sit"!
Annie is still the shy one but oh-so-sweet. She is Jason's favorite-- a real Daddy's girl! Big boy Durango is such a handsome boy-- and nearly two pounds bigger than his littermates. He is MY favorite! Brazos and sweet Grady are still the escape artists! Grady is so independent-- and still Ben's favorite. He may look the least like a Heeler in coloring (though his ears, tail, and body shape are right on), but we think he is the most Heeler-like in intelligence and temperament. Brazos is adorable and the clown of the bunch. He is the favorite of Ben's friends.

Good Luck, Calamity Jane & Frisco!
Darling CJ & Frisco each went to their trial foster-to-adopt homes this weekend. They both have a Heeler big sister to show them the ropes at their new homes and with their new families, and we are so pleased for both dogs and their new families. Hopefully we will have updates to report on soon.
In the meantime, having just 4 of Rosie's puppies means more changes here. They will begin eating their meals out of the crates now and begin working on some basic obedience commands (starting with "sit" and getting used to a leash). We will also begin challenging their housebreaking a little more and begin training them on a bell system to let us know when they want to go out.
